As our focus continues with our education and training pillar, we share a brief, yet encouraging email from Mark Standifer, project manager for King of Texas Roofing Co., LP, Grand Prairie, Texas, and mentor for the Texas A&M University team in the 2019 Student Competition.
Responses to the industry-wide economic study regarding compensation, benefits, career advancement and the satisfaction of current employees in the roofing industry have been coming in, but Dr. Dhaval Gajjar recommended extending the survey deadline to Oct. 7.
Details for the 2021-22 Melvin Kruger Endowed Scholarship Program now are available. We want to thank the Roofing Alliance Scholarship Committee for updating the program details and eligibility criteria.

Another update involving construction management comes from Bill Good regarding his involvement with the American Council for Construction Education, the accrediting body for colleges and universities offering construction education programs.
The first step in phase two, “Workforce Education and Retention Issues for the Roofing Industry,” is to conduct an industry-wide economic study survey regarding compensation, benefits, career advancement and the satisfaction of current employees in the roofing industry.
The 25th Anniversary Committee held its first virtual meeting July 28.

The Mississippi State Virtual Reality and Technology Task Force and the the Branding committee both met virtually in July.
