ROOFING ALLIANCE UPDATE – OCTOBER 2019
PLANNED GIVING GIFT

We want to thank Nelson and Jaclyn Braddy, King of Texas Roofing Company LP, Grand Prairie, Texas, for including the Roofing Alliance Melvin Kruger Endowed Scholarship Program in their estate planning. Bequests are critical to the Roofing Alliance because they provide a source of support that is not subject to fluctuations in the economy. They come from individuals, such as yourselves, whose loyalty to our work runs deep.

We want to continue to increase the number of industry partners following us—our members and nonmembers. We post about a variety of Roofing Alliance activities, and something we post may spark an interest, which will drive prospective members to visit our website or reach out to us. Our communications team has developed step-by-step instructions regarding how you can like, follow and share us on social media. Click here to see the details and start following us today!
On a sad note, we report Rita Dupuis, wife and mother of Roofing Alliance members Rene and Matt Dupuis, passed away Oct. 4. Her passing was the culmination of a 2 1/2-year battle with cholangiocarcinoma, a rare but aggressive liver cancer. Rene and Matt are with Structural Research Inc., Middleton, Wis.
In conclusion, we would like to strongly encourage you to attend the Roofing Alliance member reception and member meeting scheduled Nov. 14 and 15 at the Trump International Hotel & Tower in Chicago. This meeting is being held in conjunction with NRCA's Fall Committee Meetings because many of you also serve on NRCA committees. The member meeting includes updates regarding current programs, projects and committee activity, including a final report on A Study of the U.S. Roofing Industry and Its Workforce by the Arizona State University research team and an update by Dr. Dhaval Gajjar from Clemson University regarding the three-credit, roofing-specific course, "Principles of Roofing from Design to Installation and Beyond."

Feel free to contact us with your comments, questions or any prospective members you would like our membership development team to approach. We look forward to seeing you in November!

Thank you!
