How to donate

Please consider giving generously and making a commitment to the scholarship campaign to help the Alliance fulfill its overall goal of raising $2 million in pledges and increasing the number of scholarships it awards annually!

The Melvin Kruger Endowed Scholarship Program was established as a permanent endowment to provide scholarships to college and vocational-technical school students who plan to pursue careers in the roofing or building construction industries.

The scholarship program recognizes one of the industry's greatest leaders, Melvin Kruger, of L.E. Schwartz & Son Inc., Macon, Ga., a former NRCA president and the principal fundraiser at the time the Alliance was established.

NRCA contractor and supplier members, their immediate family members, and members' full-time employees and/or their immediate family members are eligible. Our campaign goal is to raise $700,000 in gifts to fulfill our overall goal of a $2 million endowment so we can distribute 25 $5,000 scholarships annually.

Named scholarship opportunities

You also can make your mark on the future of the roofing industry by establishing a scholarship in your name or your company's name. When you make a commitment of $50,000, you can choose to name the scholarship and participate in the selection of the recipient each year.

Please consider contributing to the scholarship program today and help the Alliance make a difference in the lives of students and increase the number of scholarships it awards annually.
